LWC is an association of writers based in and around Leicester. Many club members are published and all are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in their writing.

The club was founded over 50 years ago, and its many members now span a wide range of writing forms, including poetry, novels, short stories, children's fiction, non-fiction, screenplays and more.

As well as providing advice and friendly, mutual support for each other's writing, the club has a wide access to information on writing competitions, writing courses, events and possible markets.
